What to expect

One way to see hypnosis is like thinking you, the patient, are the author of your health goals and I, the practitioner, is like a director that makes your vision come into life.  In hypnosis, you will only experience change and transformation that you are ready for, so it’s important to understand what is the next step in your healing journey and make that part of your overall health goal.  When we have not only your big goals but also a road map plan of how to bring your goals into life, amazing transformation can happen.

We always start with an initial appointment to ensure a holistic approach to your health is used, this includes a detailed medical history, reviewing any medications you may be taking, and discussing natural alternatives to support your mental well-being. We’ll also talk about simple, sustainable lifestyle adjustments that can enhance your healing journey.

Next, we dive into a conversation about your mood and emotions, mindset, and the powerful connection between your mind and body. Together, we explore advanced nervous system regulation techniques that go beyond standard deep breathing, providing deeper relaxation and balance.

We then identify your current goals and use clinical hypnosis to help your subconscious embrace these positive changes which will be used in the follow up hypnosis session.  You can choose from flexible session formats—some prefer a single 90-minute weekly session, while others opt for two 45-minute sessions: one focusing on talk therapy and another for hands-on relaxation and hypnosis.

At your follow up we begin with a short check in on our you are doing and confirm the goals of that days session.  We start the session by getting your body very relaxed and allowing your mind to enter Theta brain ways.  Next we start the hypnosis by having you enter an experience that allows your subconscious mind to have an emotional transformation, this is unique to your needs and goals.  Finally, your session wraps up with a relaxation technique—such as acupuncture or Bowen therapy—to reset your nervous system and leave you feeling calm and restored.

What is the difference

As a Naturopathic Doctor, I can use hypnosis as part of a holistic plan that includes options like reviewing blood work and supplements.   This is truly a mind-body experience that is more powerful because we can ensure your body will be ready and receptive to the hypnosis.  For example, if you are in pain we can reduce the pain with natural anti-inflammatory herbs, allowing your body to be ready for more healing and use hypnosis to help support the body’s natural healing power.

Who can benefit

The best way to state who can benefit is this tool is great for people ready to change their life and habits but struggle with emotional blocks.

Hypnosis is for people struggling with mental health concerns, struggling with complex and chronic health issues and for those looking to begin healthy habits.
